Who is PhotoMeterPro for?

Photographers, filmmakers, and students who want a light meter and exposure assistant on iPhone. It helps you read scene brightness (EV), pick ISO/shutter/aperture for your gear, and get AI advice when you need it.

How does the meter work?

PhotoMeterPro uses your iPhone camera to measure scene luminance in real time. The app shows EV (exposure value) plus suggested ISO, shutter speed, and aperture for the camera and lens you selected. Pro adds histogram, zebra, and waveform overlays.

How do I read EV and apply settings to my camera?

EV is a single number describing scene brightness. Higher EV = brighter scene. Set your camera to manual mode, then dial in the ISO, shutter, and aperture shown in the app (or use the values as a starting point and adjust). Use Hold Reading to freeze a measurement, or Spot mode to measure a smaller area.

Does it work offline?

Yes for the light meter, gear library, and exposure math. AI advisors and web demo need an internet connection. Free users get limited daily AI runs; Pro is unlimited.

What cameras are supported?

Popular Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, and Panasonic bodies are included. You can search or type custom gear; AI helps interpret unknown models.

Is Pro a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time unlock through the App Store (price shown at purchase). Free tier includes the meter plus limited daily AI tags and one AI description per day.

What data does AI receive?

Only text you type (scene, gear names) and optional live EV — never photos or camera frames. See How AI Works and our Privacy Policy for full details.
